Pediatric Cardiology

NYULMC's Division of Pediatric Cardiology has entered an exciting stage of growth and expansion. Our faculty cardiologists provide services to heart patients from New York, New Jersey and throughout the Northeast region. Our cardiologists diagnose congenital heart defects and acquired heart disease in infants, children and adolescents using techniques such as echocardiograms, cardiac catheterizations, and electrophysiology studies.

In addition to cardiac catheterization, our cardiologists use advanced cardiac imaging techniques such as 3D-Echocardiography and cardiac MRI to diagnose all forms of complex congenital heart disease. When surgical treatment is required the NYULMC pediatric cardiologists work collaboratively with the cardiothoracic surgeons and nurse practitioners to accurately define the preoperative diagnosis and care for the child in the intraoperative and postoperative periods. This collaborative approach results in optimal clinical outcomes.

The division is actively involved in research aimed at preventing both congenital and acquired heart disease in children, is committed to educating the next generation of physicians, and offers advanced training in pediatric cardiology.
